[Mario VS. Sonic (VGDC)]

Good, but not the best...

I saw this at No. 1 and I really wanted to like it. Razoric's version was a big let-down (it did well though, go figure), and I always like your other VGDC shorts. But (and there is a but), this didn't really get me. Not to say it isn't good, but it didn't do anything for me personally. The only thing that made me laugh out loud was when Mario crapped his pants when Sonic grew large (Sonic's ending). I marked you highly for your graphics because I appreciate how much work you did in editing those sprites. The sound is also another plus point, nicely edited and in synch with the movie.

Finally, I really don't think that this deserves to be No. 1 of all time. But I don't think that it shouldn't stay in the Top 50. Either way, carry on making these videogame movies, most of them turn out really good.

This movie was bad, but let me be constructive about it rather than just randomly throw abusive words at you.

1) If you knew the sound was 'that' bad then why didn't you do anything about it? I couldn't even hear what they were saying, and thus didn't see the point (or the storyline) of the whole movie. NOTE: I listened to it several times.

2) Graphics are average, but it has a style to it. Maybe you should stick with it and define it (your style) more. A bit more animation wouldn't go amiss.

Overall: Just barely average. The horrendously poor sound let the whole thing down.

Wow, a response with a low score that DIDN'T have the words "faggot" "gay" "queer" "asslord" or "buttramming fagmaster supreme." I'm surprised, and glad there are some sane people here. The sound worked fairly well for me, but I am resubmiting the file with much higher quality sound right after writing this. Thanks for the criticism.

Nice

One of the better movies to hit the Portal in some time. This deserves to be popular. Although, it had some major faults, animation in the fight sequences were horrible, and the cinematography should have been more detailed and played out longer for that 'effect' to work. Anyhow, many people liked this, and I think you have great potential.
Keep up the good work.

Good

It was good. Except for one thing, the movement of the characters seemed too 'robotic' (get what I mean?). Apart from that, the moves they did just weren't interesting enough for me. I mean, the movie was animated well and all, but I guess that any new StickMen movies will be compared to XiaoXiao and if it isn't better then it won't be popular.
Hope that all made sense, if it sounds harsh then I was trying to be constructive.

P.S. I don't have sound where I viewed it, so I couldn't rate that part of the movie.

I'm sorry, i saw this in the Top 50 and while it loaded I really, REALLY wanted to like it... but I ended up hating it. I mean, it had some great graphics and sound, but the whole idea just didn't grip me. Anyhow, loads of people seem to like it, so keep it up.

I like to see anticipation for out of this world 2 :) unfortunatly they take forever... and not only that I'm putting more time and effort into part II so it will take a lot longer.... so it won't be for a looong time yet :( too bad it takes so damned long :( oh yeah and plus I'm lazy as hell eheh so that adds tot he time!

How serene...

I liked this, I really did. It worked well, and kept momentum. It's nice to see something different on NG. I'm not saying that movies like the insanely violent XiaoXiao and Genyu's Blade aren't good, it's just that you can't watch blood and gore all the time.
Good stuff, keep it up.

Um.. didn't the head find its way into the sewer? And then he allowed the head to sit on his shoulders... but the head was covered in crap though... I don't get it, that and the fact that everyone likes it. Oh well, that's the Portal Public for you.
